Itinerary

Day 1

Pick up from Chamber Street in Edinburgh at 9.30am. We can also organise a pick up in Glasgow enroute (contact us for more information). Places of interest on the journey include: Stirling Castle (from the outside), Glencoe and the famous Eilean Donan Castle where we will stay for a little while as it is the main attraction on this day.

After the visit, we will make our way to the accommodation. We prefer to stay in the Broadford area but Skye books up very quickly so an early booking is advisable.

Day 2

Depart the accommodation at 8am and making our way to Portree to see the Old Man of Storr followed by Lealt Falls and Kilt Rock. We can then make our way to the west of the island in time for lunch near the Talisker Distillery.

Afterwards we will go back stopping at the Fairy Pools where we can spend another 1 hour - 2 hours depending on the weather. This will be a long day however, it will be broken up with walks and attractions. The mentioned stops will allow you to see quite a lot of Skye in a short period of time. Duntelm Castle is a ruin as you carry on to the North of the island. If the timings and weather permits, we can also visit here.

Day 3

Check out of your accommodation and enjoy a morning trip to Pitlochry where you can enjoy a wander around some free time to enjoy some of the locat shops and cafes.

We will then make our way for Edinburgh passing Loch Ness and Inverness in the Cairngorms. We can stop at Pitlochry in Perthshire for a rest stop too. Places of interest include: Culloden Battlefield and the Clava Cairns outside Inverness, the Ruthven Barracks near Kingussie. (These stops are just photographic opportunities to break up the journey and we would not expect to spend a great deal of time at each).

We will arrive back in Edinburgh for 8pm.

This is a group tour with no more than 16 persons.
