Our travels through Scotland takes us to many places where we might want to question the information that has been displayed. Sometimes these 'inaccuracies' are due to generalisation or ignorance. Sometimes we learn something and are proven wrong. But this is a great way to learn the history of Scotland from a very unbiased point of view. As we know history can all be about who wrote it.
We are frequently in Stirling visiting or touring sites like Stirling Castle, Bannockburn Centre or the Wallace Monument. Here are some pictures that we took.
Outlander crew on a recce at Lallybroch. We had the luck of being at Lallybroch (Midhope Castle) at the same time as the crew from the popular 'Outlander' series. They were looking at the location for some future filming.
Some pictures of our 2015 cruise excursions to Stirling Castle, Loch Lomond and the Trossachs. The tour takes you to Stirling Castle, Loch Lubnaig, Loch Lomond with a spot of lunch at the famous Drovers Inn, 1705

Our Outlander Tours are proving a big hit, and as fans ourselves, we get a huge buzz from taking our guests to all the various Outlander filming locations. However it was one such visit last week which sent a chill up our spine at none other than Blackness Castle AKA Fort William and Wentworth Prison. How ironic eh?
Our new favouriste whisky, basically a peated (smokey) single malt from the Tobermory Distillery. This pic was taken at the Deanston Distillery where they graciously let me have a wee tasty.
Our Outlander tours go to Lallybroch, Fort William, Castle Leoch and so many more Outlander filming locations. Not to mention we make sure 'wee' Jamie is with us at all times to keep you company.
I had a great time with a group of Flemish tourists from the cruse ship (Greenock port). Speaking Afrikaans (as I can't speak Flemish) after 16 years was great. I am also very glad they liked every whisky they got :-)
