Top Tips

  • Wear closed, comfortable footwear and a few layers with a rain jacket. It is also a good idea to bring a hat. Our wind can be cold, and it is usually windy.
  • In the Summer months, bring sunscreen. When the sun comes out, like anywhere else, you can burn.
  • For entrance fees, it is a good idea to purchase a Historic Environment Scotland Explorer Pass. It includes many of the heritage properties in Scotland including Edinburgh and Stirling Castles.
