This whisky is weird in that the smokeyness only comes in to taste later on while drinking. It is as if the non peated and peated taste is somehow seperated. The smokeyness is also very raw. This is a must taste for anyone who likes peated single malts.
I have been told that one part of the year Tobermory makes their flagship Tobermory Single malt which is non- or lightly peated and in the other part of the year they make the peated Ledaig.
