Some pictures and information about Culzean Castle on the West Coast of Scotland in Ayrshire.

Culzean Castle is situated near Maybole, Carrick, on the Ayrshire coast of Scotland. It is the former home of the Marquess of Ailsa, the chief of Clan Kennedy (not related to the Kennedy family in the US), but is now owned by the National Trust for Scotland. The clifftop castle lies within the Culzean Castle Country Park and is opened to the public. Since 1987, an illustration of the castle has featured on the reverse side of five pound notes issued by the Royal Bank of Scotland.

A small group that joined us on a Cruise Ship Day excursion tour of Ayrshire which included Culzean Castle, Turnburry Golf Course, the Electric Brae and Alloway Burns Cottage and Museum.
