Virtual Tours of Scotland including Virtual Outlander Tours

Blogs & News

During the COVID 19 Pandemic and the following travel restrictions, there has been a lot of disappointment and anxiety about visiting Scotland. We at Slàinte Scotland Tours would like to counter that by bringing Scotland to you during this time in the way of Virtual Tours.

Similar to our standard tours, Catriona is going to guide our tours live. She will explain history and facts about each site as well as anecdotes, a few jokes and a little sing-song while she guides you through.

Catriona will be conducting two virtual tours per week on Tuesdays and Thursdays. They will be a mix of Outlander themed and ordinary Scotland tours, and the schedule is operated on Scotland time. We have two different times per week to allow our guests from a variety of time zones to participate.

The tours are taking place over the Zoom platform because many people are already using it, and we want to make joining a trip as easy and as stress-free as possible. All you need to do is check the timings for the tour in your local timezone. Each tour lasts between 1 hour and a half and 2 hours so be sure to make yourself comfortable, grab yourself a dram and come away with Catriona to escape to Scotland.

An idea of the times are as follows:

Tuesdays 11 pm GMT (the UK, Republic of Ireland and Scotland time)

  • 12 am (midnight) in Europe (Germany, France, the Netherlands etc.)
  • 6 pm in EST (New York, Florida and Boston etc.)
  • 3 pm in PT (California etc.)
  • 8 am the following morning in Sydney, Australia.

Thursday 1 pm GMT (the UK, Republic of Ireland and Scotland time)

  • 2 pm (midnight) in Europe (Germany, France, the Netherlands etc.)
  • 8 am in EST (New York, Florida and Boston etc.)
  • 5 am in PT (California)
  • 10 pm in Sydney, Australia.
