Virtual Wester Ross Tour Scotland

On Thursday the 28th of May 2020, Catriona welcomed her friend and Scottish Gaelic Expert, Àdhamh Ó Broin to co-host a virtual tour of the Wester Ross Region in the Scottish Highlands.

The tour started off with some songs of the area, in particular the famous ballad, Loch Maree. The music continued throughout the tour with gorgeous lyrical performances by Àdhamh in Gàidhlig about the area and its people.

Catriona explained some hints and tips to those visiting Wester Ross in the future, which Àdhamh reiterated whilst showing off some stunning photographs he has taken over the years.

The tour couldn’t leave out any details regarding the memory of the Clearances in the area or the void of local people with Gaelic on their lips. Albeit it was passionate, the debate was managed in a respectful way, with plenty of questions and comments from our guests.

You can be sent the link for the tour for the cost of a coffee: https://www.buymeacoffee.com/catstevenson

Please ensure that when you purchase a coffee, that you put “Wester Ross Tour 28 May” in the comments so that we know which one to send you.

We will be teaming up with Àdhamh again in the near future so watch out for our schedule.

Catriona will be back on Tuesday for a Virtual Tour on the Jacobites and the Scottish Highlands. This tour will include Culloden Battlefield and the nearby Clava Cairns.
