    • Comfortable walking shoes
    • Weather-appropriate clothing (waterproof jackets are recommended)

    • Snacks if you prefer, although stops for meals are included in most tours
    • A camera or smartphone for capturing the stunning scenery

  • 2. What is the weather like in Scotland?

Scotland's weather is famously unpredictable. You can experience sunshine, rain, and wind all in one day! Average temperatures range from 5°C (41°F) in winter to 19°C (66°F) in summer. Layering your clothing is key to staying comfortable.

  • 3. Are your tours weather-dependent?

No, our tours run in all weather conditions. However, extreme weather may occasionally result in route changes for safety reasons. We always prioritize your well-being and will inform you of any adjustments as early as possible.

  • 4. What currency is used in Scotland?

The currency is the British Pound (£). While most businesses accept credit and debit cards, we recommend carrying some cash for small purchases in remote areas.

  • 5. Do I need to tip the guide?

Scotland does have a tipping culture, typically around 10%. While tipping is not compulsory, it is greatly appreciated if you enjoy your experience.

  • 14. In what languages are the tours conducted?

All our tours are conducted in English. However, we provide written tour information in French, German, Portuguese, Spanish, Japanese, and Dutch. Please inform us of your preferred language in advance to ensure your guide has the appropriate materials ready for you. Additionally, many of the sites we visit offer audio guides in various languages to enhance your experience.

  • 15. Do you work with other tour operators in the UK?

Yes, we are proud to collaborate with trusted partners across the UK who offer tours showcasing other regions. If you're interested in exploring beyond Scotland, we can connect you with reputable tour operators who specialize in areas such as England, Wales, and Northern Ireland. Let us know your interests, and we’ll be happy to recommend partners to enhance your travel experience.

  • 16. What should I know about chargebacks and refunds?

During the COVID-19 pandemic, some customers initiated chargebacks through their card issuers, expecting immediate refunds. However, the chargeback process can take up to 90 days to resolve, leading to misunderstandings about the status of funds. We recommend contacting us directly for refund requests to ensure a smoother and quicker resolution. For more information on chargeback timeframes, please consult your card issuer.

  • 17. What if I get lost or delayed before the tour starts?

We recommend arriving at least 15 minutes before the scheduled departure. If you are delayed, call us immediately at +44 (0)141 628 9779.
