Terms and Conditions

Welcome to Slàinte Scotland Tours. These Terms and Conditions outline the agreement between the tour operator (referred to as "we," "us," or "our") and the customer (referred to as "you" or "your"). By booking a tour with us, you agree to the following terms:

  • 1. Deposits and Payments

    1.1 Deposit:


    • A 50% deposit is required at the time of booking to secure your tour.
    • The deposit is non-refundable unless specified otherwise in the Cancellation Policy below.

    1.2 Final Payment:


    • The remaining balance is due no later than 7 days (1 week) before the scheduled tour date.
    • If the balance is not paid by the due date, we reserve the right to cancel your booking without a refund of the deposit.
  • 2. Cancellations and Refunds

    2.1 Customer Cancellations:


    • More than 30 days before the tour date: You will receive a full refund of any payments made, minus a 10% administration fee.
    • 15-30 days before the tour date: You will receive a 50% refund of the total cost of the tour.
    • Less than 15 days before the tour date: No refunds will be issued.

    2.2 Last-Minute Illness Cancellations:


    • In the event of a last-minute cancellation due to illness, we will endeavour to reschedule your tour to a mutually agreeable date. However, we cannot guarantee the availability of an alternative date or provide a refund.
    • This policy has been introduced due to a significant increase in illness-related cancellations following the pandemic.

    2.3 Tour Operator Cancellations:


    • If we cancel a tour due to unforeseen circumstances (e.g., severe weather, natural disasters, or lack of minimum participants), you will receive a full refund or the option to reschedule the tour.

    2.4 Changes to the Itinerary:


    • We reserve the right to make changes to the itinerary if necessary due to circumstances beyond our control (e.g., road closures or weather conditions). No refunds will be issued for such changes.

    2.5 Refund Processing Times:


    • Refunds may take time to reach your account, depending on your card issuer's processing times.
    • If you initiate a chargeback (card reversal), please be aware that this process can take between 30 and 90 days to resolve. Once initiated, an investigation process is automatically started, and even if we accept the chargeback, it can take months to resolve. We have no control over this process and cannot expedite the return of your funds in these instances.
  • 3. Luggage Allowance

    3.1 Limits on Luggage:


    • Due to space constraints, each passenger is permitted to bring only one small suitcase or travel bag (no larger than 55 x 40 x 20 cm) and one personal item (e.g., handbag or backpack).
    • Excess or oversized luggage will not be accepted unless agreed upon in advance.

    3.2 Storage and Responsibility:


    • We are unable to store additional luggage. If you are traveling with more luggage than permitted, please make alternative storage arrangements prior to the tour.
    • Slàinte Scotland Tours is not responsible for the loss, theft, or damage of luggage or personal items during the tour.
  • 4. Entrance Fees and Inclusions

    4.1 Included Services:


    • Entrance fees to attractions are included in the tour price unless otherwise stated.
    • Please review your specific tour itinerary for details on included services.

    4.2 Additional Costs:


    • Any services not explicitly listed as included (e.g., meals, personal expenses) are the responsibility of the customer.

    4.3 Clarifications:


    • If you are unsure about what is included in your tour, please contact us for clarification.
  • 5. General Policies

    5.1 Health and Safety:


    • It is your responsibility to ensure that you are physically fit to participate in the tour.
    • Please inform us of any medical conditions, dietary requirements, or mobility issues at the time of booking.

    5.2 Travel Insurance:


    • We strongly recommend purchasing travel insurance to cover any unforeseen events, including cancellations, medical emergencies, or delays.

    5.3 Children:


    • Children under 18 must be accompanied by an adult.

    5.4 Behavior:


    • We reserve the right to terminate the participation of any individual whose behavior is deemed disruptive or unsafe to others without a refund.
  • 6. Complaints

    6.1 Procedure:


    • If you have any complaints or concerns regarding your tour experience, please contact us directly.
    • We are committed to addressing and resolving all complaints within 14 days of receipt.
  • 7. Liability

    7.1 Responsibility:


    • Slàinte Scotland Tours will not be held responsible for any personal injury, loss, or damage to personal property during the tour.
    • We are not liable for delays, missed connections, or unforeseen events caused by third parties or circumstances beyond our control.

    7.2 Waiver:


    • By booking a tour, you acknowledge that participation in the tour may involve risks and agree to release us from any liability to the fullest extent permitted by law.
